My name is Florence Adu, and I am 18 years old. My parents were farmers, but after moving, my father worked as a mason and my mother worked as a trader.
Due to illness and financial challenges in our family, my sister and I had to stop school and help by selling small items to support our home. Despite the difficulties and not performing well in my BECE, I never gave up hope for a better future.
Go Girl Ghana became my biggest source of hope and support during this time. With their help, I was able to return to school and continue my education. I am truly grateful to God and Go Girl Ghana, and I am proud to be part of this organization. πͺππ§πΏ
What happens when girls come together with purpose? Confidence grows. Leadership emerges. Unity is strengthened.
Our food bazaar wasnβt just about food it was about empowering our girls to collaborate, take initiative, and support one another. A space where girls felt seen, capable, and united.πͺππ§πΏ
Our visit to the Loye community was filled with energy and promise.
The girls showcased their talents, shared their dreams, and reminded us, that with support and determination, a brighter future and a successful education journey is within reach.
With guidance, encouragement, and education, their dreams for a successful future is becoming realπͺππ§πΏ
I am Lydia Asor Kwakye, a Medical Laboratory Scientist, and I came to know about Go Girl Ghana in 2023 through my nieces, Esther and Stephanie, who live in Buduburam. After facing many challenges growing up without their mother, they found hope and support through Go Girl Ghanaβs community program.
Through the organization, they received ICT training, educational support, and essential learning materials that have helped them stay focused on their education.
I was also invited to meetings and became part of the Motherβs Club, which has helped me grow personally and learn valuable life skills. Inspired by the organizationβs motto, βWe learn, we share, and together we are the voice of change,β
I decided to volunteer and support other girls. Today, I am proud to contribute to empowering young girls and helping create positive change in our communities. πͺππ§πΏ
Parents are key partners in every girlβs success.
In our recent meeting, we discussed plans for the year, explored ways to support learning at home, and identified steps to help our girls thrive academically and personally.
Together, weβre building a stronger foundation for their education.πͺππ§πΏ
Our home visits bring us closer to the journeys of our girls. By meeting them and their families, we learn about their challenges, celebrate their achievements, and provide guidance to ensure they stay motivated, supported, and on track for a successful education.πͺππ§πΏ
My name is Anita Ndoyela from Nyanyano, and my journey with Go Girl Ghana began in 2022 when I was selected while in my final year of Junior High School.
Through the girlsβ meetings and mentorship, I gained confidence, especially in public speaking, after being encouraged by Ms. Comfort.
During vacation classes, I also developed a love for ICT, a subject I once feared. Because of the support and training from Go Girl Ghana, I joined the Debaters Club in Senior High School and later won awards, including Second Best Speaker and Overall Second Best Student in Elective ICT.
The organization has exposed me to opportunities, leadership, and valuable life lessons. I am truly grateful to Go Girl Ghana for shaping my confidence, education, and future.πͺππ§πΏ
It started with a conversation under a shed. Today, itβs a step towards awareness, confidence, and better choices. When girls are informed, they are empowered to shape their future.πͺππ§πΏ
When girls come together, they lift each other, break barriers, and find their voice. Empowered girls donβt just change their lives; they change the world.πͺππ§πΏ
